Liz Davey
Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons), MCSP
Batley
Hi, I’m Liz.
Movement has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up training and competing in gymnastics, trampolining and athletics, so I know just how much dedication, strength, and resilience it takes to perform at your best—and how frustrating it can be when injury gets in the way. But injury is not the end, it is a turning point. With the right plan, you don’t just recover, you come back better.
That’s what led me to Physiotherapy. After initially studying Sport Science & Physiology at the University of Leeds, I returned to complete a degree in Physiotherapy. I wanted to combine my love for sport with a deeper understanding of the body, so I could help others recover, rebuild, and return to doing what they love - whether that’s elite competition or simply feeling confident in everyday movement.
As a Physiotherapist, I take a hands-on and holistic approach. I utilise the wide variety of experiences I have gained working as a Physiotherapist in the Private Sector and the NHS, and as a Pilates, Yoga and gymnastics instructor, in my treatment plans. I work to understand not just the injury, but you—your life, your sport, your goals, and what’s important to you. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic issue, or aiming to improve performance, I’m here to support your journey.
What clients say
- Very kind, professional and thorough
- Good at spotting the root of pain
- Makes patients feel understood
Reputation: reliable, thoughtful practitioner with strong patient connection.
"I had a fantastic experience with Liz. She was very competent, friendly and set me up for success with my recovery! Would definitely recommend!"

My ambition for physiotherapy was driven by my passion for human biology as well as implementing it with healthcare. Having endeavoured in sports all my life, I can understand how devastating and debilitating an injury can be, which is why I take pride in ensuring that all my patients’ pain, no matter how minimal, is taken with the upmost care and consideration.

Ackworth, Castleford, Normanton, Rotherham
Hi I’m Sophie - I’m a physio working in our Castleford, Ackworth & Rotherham clinics.
I grew up in Somerset and, started my training in Cardiff before moving to finish in Sheffield (slowly making my way further North)…
In my spare time I love trail running, and use every opportunity I can to work on races to learn from the best (and use it as a cheeky excuse for a holiday)! I’ve crewed runners through UTMB, Ultra X, and am currently looking to plan my own races at UTS and Slovenia 110km next year.
I love getting outside, so I really appreciate how much an injury can set you back from doing the things you love & really start to effect your mental health. I work with everyone of all ages and lifestyles, just hoping to get you the life you want to live (even if that’s better than it was pre-injury). If you have any questions, or aren’t sure if physio is for you - please reach out & we’ll see how we can point you in the right direction.
