Chris Heslam
Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons), MCSP
Normanton, Ackworth, Pudsey, Hull
I'm Chris, from Sheffield, and I mainly work across our Wakefield clinics!
My background has been in rugby predominantly and I've played to a high level including stints for Leicester Tigers and Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire on a county level.
Since stopping rugby I've become all things strength training obsessed, dabbling in the likes of strongman and powerlifting with the aim of earning the 'Worlds Strongest Dad' title while trying to keep up some hiking, wild swimming and trail running. My rehabilitation experience spans across complex poly-trauma through to treating high level athletes and to those wanting to work on their health, strength and ability to live a fulfilling life that fills their cup!
When I'm not working or training you'll find me half way up a mountain or on a lake with my wife and son!
What clients say
- “Life-changing progress”
- Uses explanations and metaphors that finally make things clear
- Outstanding with serious / long-term injuries (knees, plantar fasciitis, fractures)
- Kind, patient, and genuinely invested in improvement
Reputation: complex rehab leader; one of the highest-impact clinicians in the whole network.
"Chris was amazing. I always enjoy seeing new practitioners to get a better insight into my chronic pain. Chris taught me some great new things that no one had explained to me before, particularly about hypermobility. 10/10 recommend."

What Our Patients Say
Had my 1st session with Luke today. Very knowledgeable, clear explanations, and evidence based. Looking forward to my future sessions behaving my injury
Luke at Regen is great, he really takes the time to get to you know and your injury before creating a treatment plan.
Have had a great experience with luke. Went to him with chronic pain issues in my back following an injury and can say with confidence that i've seen significant improvement thanks to his advice and treatment. Between the massages & exercise regime he gave me i've been able to get back to my normal self again. Would highly recommend.
I was concerned that my broken collar bone injury from a cycling accident wasn't healing well after 6 weeks. I booked an assessment with Luke and got a thorough check, diagnosis, explanation of rotator cuff muscle damage and a program of exercises to improve shoulder joint function. I would highly recommend Regeneration Physiotherapy in Pudsey.
