Lauren Dovey
Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons), MCSP
Harrogate, Alwoodley
Hi, I'm Lauren, I've been working for Regen since May 2025, when I moved after working in the NHS. I'm really enjoying being able to take the time to get to know my patients, and help them feel better and return to the activities that are important to them. I've previously had experience in hands, musculoskeletal, respiratory, paediatrics, orthopaedics, geriatrics, pelvic health, and community physiotherapy. I loved musculoskeletal most of all, because I get to embed my love of sports into my work to help people return to activity, which is why I've chosen to pursue it here at Regen. In my free time, I love to play badminton and go horse riding, and I'm an enthusiastic parkrunner!
What clients say
- Friendly, calm, and confidence-inspiring
- Very strong with exercise coaching and gym-based rehab
- Tailors plans around the person’s lifestyle
Reputation: patient-centred rehab clinician with a great rapport.
"Lauren was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She identified the cause of my shoulder problem , preliminary treatment helpful."

Jack Gilmartin
Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons), MCSP
Alwoodley, York
My name is Jack Gilmartin, and I’m an MSK physiotherapist at Regen Physio. I work with a broad mix of clients, from competitive athletes and regular gym-goers, to people who simply want to move more comfortably and enjoy an active lifestyle.
Coming from a background in semi-professional rugby and strength & conditioning, I know first-hand the challenges of training, performing, and managing setbacks. That experience shapes the way I work: combining hands-on treatment with practical, tailored rehab plans that are easy to follow and designed to deliver real progress.
I place a big emphasis on education and clarity, making sure clients understand their condition and feel confident in how to manage it. Rehab should feel purposeful and motivating, not a boring checklist – and I always aim to keep it engaging while focused on each person’s goals.
Outside of the clinic, I spend most of my time on the rugby pitch or in the gym, and I enjoy testing myself both physically and mentally. The same drive that fuels my sport carries into my work, where my priority is helping people return to the activities that matter most to them.
What clients say
- Fantastic sports massage and soft-tissue work
- Very knowledgeable and professional
- Removes pain and stiffness quickly
- Friendly and confidence-boosting
Reputation: superb manual therapist with excellent communication skills.
"Jack was fantastic, found straight away where I needed fixing, and also gave good advice."

What Our Patients Say
Ethan was brilliant, he really helped get me through an injury and to a marathon which I don’t think I would have been able to do without his input. Excellent service.
Ethan helped me with recovery from a frozen shoulder, he actually diagnosed it before my consultant did! He is knowledgeable, gives clear instructions and makes you feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend him.
Great physio. Jack diagnosed the problem (which I myself had misdiagnosed through google!) and was clear explaining to me. The exercises he gave really helped, and he is professional and makes you feel comfortable ☺️
I've used Regen 3 times (all for seperate unrelated injuries) most recently with Ethan. Each time my issues have been sorted through first class treatment as well as advice given for exercises. At the end of each treatment period I was given sound advice as to what to do to allow my progress to continue especially so this time with Ethan. The physios are very professional and also nice people to chat to whilst your treatment is ongoing. Although I don't plan/hope to visit for physiotherapy again it's by far and away my first choice for physio in Leeds.
I've been to Regen Physio three times in the last couple of years with different issues and have always had good treatment and care. My most recent sessions with Ethan have been great and I've really appreciated the advice and help Ethan has provided. My problem symptoms are much improved as a result. Would definitely recommend and many thanks to Ethan!

Great physio. Jack diagnosed the problem (which I myself had misdiagnosed through google!) and was clear explaining to me. The exercises he gave really helped, and he is professional and makes you feel comfortable ☺️
